As the recent events have shown: The negative impact of climate change is no longer ‘‘someone else’s problem‘‘. While some European countries currently experience heat waves that result in huge forest fires, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, and various neighbouring states were affected by the disastrous flood that hit us in July. The waters even came dangerous close to our office in Oberstenfeld. It became more than clear: environmental and climate protection is a matter that should concern all of us. And whatever contribution every single person is able to make: We should not waste any time.

What is ELCO’s contribution regarding environmental protection?

As a Chinese company, we are very aware that we carry major responsibilities in the area of environmental protection. The ELCO Industrie Automation GmbH sets a good example: Besides energy and water conservation as well as waste reduction, we only use sustainable work and packaging material whenever possible. Moreover, our office in Oberstenfeld is completely run with green electricity. We also participate in the dual system for recycling of sales packages by DerGrünePunkt. Thanks to our effort, we could avoid as much emissions in 2020 as 269 square meters of forest could filter out of the air.

How can ELCO support other companies in achieving their climate goals?

For ELCO, environmental protection already includes the core elements of each and every manufacturing company: its production machines and processes and how to optimize them. Thanks to quality management and continuous development of our products, we are able to increase the lifetime and the economic performance of various machines: completely independent from manufacturer, controlling system or run time. In concrete terms, this means:
